  • Figure A1 - Basic diagram of the decision tree model for the cost of treatment options for stage I nonseminomatous germ cell tumors. Options for surveillance, primary chemotherapy, and retroperitoneal lymphadenectomy are modeled. Surgical therapy using both open and laparoscopic approaches are included. The initial choice of therapy is a decision node. All subsequent alternatives at a given depth of the tree are chance events governed by the defined probability relationships.
