Erratum

In Table 2, data related to the percentage of patients surviving at 24 months should have been omitted. The corrected table is reprinted below in its entirety.

"There were no differences in 12- and 24-month survival in the elderly between the treatment types. The percentage of elderly patients surviving to 12 and 24 months was 20.4% and 6.1% in the pemetrexed group and 23.1% and 10.6% in the docetaxel group, respectively. The percentage of younger patients surviving to 12 and 24 months was 30.8% and 10.6% in the pemetrexed group and 30.8% and 0% in the docetaxel group, respectively. However, there was a significant absolute difference of 10.6% in 24-month survival in the younger group favoring pemetrexed (95% CI, 3.1 to 18.0; P =.0054)."

Whereas it should have read:

"There were no differences in 12-month survival in the elderly between the treatment types. The percentage of elderly patients surviving to 12 months was 20.4% in the pemetrexed group and 23.1% in the docetaxel group. The percentage of younger patients surviving to 12 months was 30.8% in the pemetrexed group and 30.8% in the docetaxel group."

In the Discussion section, the fifth sentence of the second paragraph read, "There was a significant absolute difference in 24-month survival favoring pemetrexed in younger patients." This sentence should have been omitted.

The online version has been corrected in departure from the print.
