In ReplyThe University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX We appreciate the comments of Dr Mehta. We agree with her that our concluding sentence could be regarded as an understatement: "... patients with TNBC [triple-negative breast cancer] may be best treated with third generation adjuvant or neoadjuvant chemotherapy regimens that achieve the highest possible pCR [pathologic complete response] rates."1 Results from our article as well data from several randomized studies reviewed by Dr Mehta support her recommendation that the most effective chemotherapy should be used in the adjuvant or neoadjuvant treatment of patients with triple-negative breast cancer. This is an opinion that we fully support. AUTHORS DISCLOSURES OF POTENTIAL CONFLICTS OF INTEREST The author(s) indicated no potential conflicts of interest. REFERENCE
