The July 10, 2008, article by Baquet, Ellison and Mishra, entitled, “Analysis of Maryland Cancer Patient Participation in National Cancer Institute–Supported Cancer Treatment Clinical Trials” (J Clin Oncol 26:3380–3386, 2008) was published online July 8, 2008 with errors.
In the Results section, under Accrual by Age Group, the second sentence indicated that 80.7% of patients were accrued onto trials, whereas it should have been 37.9% as follows:
“Overall, 37.9% of Maryland pediatric and adolescent incident patients with cancer were accrued onto treatment trials.”
In Table 3, under % Patients Accrued by Sex Within Race/Ethnic Group, 60.1% was given for White females, whereas it should have been 60.7%.
These corrections have been made as of December 9, 2008.
