The November 20, 2005, ASCO special article by Desch et al titled, “Colorectal Cancer Surveillance: 2005 Update of an American Society of Clinical Oncology Practice Guideline” (J Clin Oncol 23:8512-8519, 2005) was published online on October 28, 2005, with errors.
In the Recommendations section of the Abstract, the term protosigmoidoscopy should have been proctosigmoidoscopy.
In the section “4. Endoscopic Surveillance Techniques,” subsection “Colonoscopy. Current Recommendation,” the phrase “pre or perioperative documentation” should have been “pre- or perioperative documentation,” and the phrase “a colonoscopy at 3 years and then, if normal, then every five years thereafter” should have been “a colonoscopy at 3 years and then, if normal, once every 5 years thereafter.”
