The March 1, 2008, article by Smith et al entitled, “Darbepoetin Alfa for the Treatment of Anemia in Patients With Active Cancer Not Receiving Chemotherapy or Radiotherapy: Results of a Phase III, Multicenter, Randomized, Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled Study” (J Clin Oncol 26:1040-1050, 2008) was published online January 28, 2008 with errors.
In Table 1, under Placebo, the number of patients with “Other” solid tumors was given as 30, whereas it should have been 35.
In Table 2, under Darbepoetin Alfa 6.75 µg/kg Every 4 Weeks, the mean change in hemoglobin from baseline to EOTP (g/dL) was given as 0.79, whereas it should have been 0.73.
In Figure 4C, the footnote for Hazard Ratio (95% CI) referred to “During treatment period and long-term follow-up,” whereas it should have been “During treatment period” only.
