The June 1, 2008, article by Greenspan et al entitled, “Risedronate Prevents Bone Loss in Breast Cancer Survivors: A 2-Year, Randomized, Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled Clinical Trial” (J Clin Oncol 26:2644, 2008) was published online April 21, 2008 with errors.
In the Results section, under Comparisons of Treatment and Cancer Therapy Groups, the P-value was given as P < .5 in the first sentence of the third paragraph, whereas it should have been P < .05, as follows:
“At the one-third distal radius, there were significant decreases in bone density of 2.1% ± 0.6% and 2.7% ± 1.1% (both P < .05) for women in the placebo plus AI and risedronate plus AI groups (Table 3).”
This has been corrected as of May 27, 2008.
