JCO Begins Search for Consultant Editor of Diagnosis in Oncology Section
ASCO has opened its search for candidates to serve as the Consultant Editor for the Diagnosis in Oncology section of Journal of Clinical Oncology.
The Consultant Editor is responsible for reviewing approximately 700 Diagnosis in Oncology manuscripts per year, of which approximately 125 are published.
ASCO furnishes editorial and administrative support through its centralized editorial office in Alexandria, VA. A quarterly stipend will be provided.
Diagnosis in Oncology manuscripts are case reports of characteristic or classic conditions and responses to therapy, and they provide a visual journey
through oncology. Diagnosis manuscripts span all areas of oncology and include a brief discussion of the case accompanied by clinical photographs and CT,
PET, or MRI scans.
The successful candidate will
- Be an oncologist
- Have medical and publishing experience
- Have broad scientific and oncology interests
- Be able to devote time to evaluating hundreds of manuscripts per year
